Art shows are all about standing out. A creative challenge for Charline Tyberghein, who is represented by Gallery Sofie Van De Velde.
The Belgian artist, who is renowned for her witty figurative paintings, wanted a custom digital wallpaper for her booth at Artissima, the Turin art show, that would complement her work.
The objective was clear: the wallpaper had to be in the same exact colours as her paintings, including the distinctive purple line that was a central feature of her creations.
It also had to be easy to install and remove without too much hassle after the art show closed so the booth could be dismantled quickly.
At Albe De Coker, we are very serious about colour and quality. We start by making several test prints in various colour gradations to determine the right colour approach. It is only then that we print the design on non-woven wallpaper.
Non-woven wallpaper has several benefits: the wall is covered with paste, the panels fit together seamlessly, and, after the exhibition, each panel can be easily removed without the need for additional tools or causing damage to the walls.
